After an afternoon of painting 140 little nails (!) and playing at being nail technician at a little girls birthday party, We visited the soft furnishings mecca that is Ikea for a bit of retail therapy.
So...as we were passing...I give you, Wembley.

It will always remind me the day we were on the jubilee line, and said to Boo "Look! Wembley!"

Uncle Nick is a bit of a hero in this house, let me tell you.
When he knocks at the door, there's a scramble (and sometimes a brotherly scuffle..) about who is going to get to open the door to him, and always,  a top-of-the-lungs "UNCLE NIIIIIIIICK!"

Today I spent a gorgeous day with the 3 men in my life.
Boo got a book called "This is London' from Father Christmas this year, and was fascinated by the Queens guards in their bearskin hats, so off we went to Buckingham Palace to find some..

We roamed all over London, till our legs hurt. We drank hot chocolate to warm up, went to spend some vouchers the wee men got for Christmas in Hamleys, then went to find some Eygyptian Mummies at the Bristish Museum. It was beautifully sunny and bitterly cold, and a day I will be storing in the filing cabinet inside my brain, under; Remember.

...The Great Outdoors.

Today was crazy busy. Football clubs, Swimming lessons, Visits from Nana and Granny and Uncle Niiiiiiiick, visits to some particularly cute twin babies I happen to know, and a little bit of Commercial photography for a website.
Walking to Swimming with the boys, we passed this gorgeous field where you can see for miles. The sun was shining, and as I'm slightly obsessed with Sunbursts, this photo ticked my boxes.

...Rainy days and Tuesdays.

Today it rained. And rained some more. And because it hadn't quite rained enough, It rained again.

I stayed home, with my littlest boy with chickenpox, and we made monster trucks out of plaster of paris, played cars, had cuddles, and got covered in calamine lotion.
And sometimes...SOMETIMES...I helped him rub rub rub those itches away.
And the "Ahhhhh!" I heard, made it worth it.
