... My Gruffalo.
I'm the proudest mama in the whole wide world today, after watching this little man of mine tread the boards in his Year 2 Leavers Show; 'Merry Hill Meets... The Gruffalo'.
It turned me to mush, watching him delivering his lines in his very bestest deepest gruffalo voice while
he grinned and waved at us. (A friendlier beast I have not met.)and I ended up a blotchy tear-stained mess of a mummy.
He was a complete little legend.
Here are some more photos of The Gruffalo.
Just Because.
EDIT: (Thurs 14th July) My poor Gruffalo ended up in A&E last night with a nasty concussion after falling off of a trampoline backwards and introducing that gorgeous head to a paving slab.
He was so so poorly bless his heart.
And then in true 'Show must go on' trooper stylee, He insisted (From a hospital bed) that he "HAS to be the Gruffalo in the second show tomorrow because Uncle Nick and Auntie Nicola are coming, and they are really excited".
He won. I couldn't have a broken heart AND a broken head in one day.
He went to school for an hour, did his show, and then came home to me, to recover under a blanket on the sofa, tucked up with an army of pillows.
Thats dedication. X
