Tuesday

Something beginning with M...

There are many things I could blog about today, and a thousand other photographs I could have taken  for my 365 project.

I could post a photograph of this cute sign at the boys' school, spotted on the school run...

Or this photograph taken today of a summer-y patch of daisies...

Or this little duck fella, seen on my travels in and around Bushey today.
(Although quality control, and a blurry little webbed foot, prevents that one from happening...)

Maybe I could use this photograph of a grumpy Boo after falling in the duck pond (True story!)
"You guys are gonna have to help me practise feeding the ducks. I'm not joking..You really really will"

But today is not about funny signs, or daisy patches, nor muddy boys or duck fellas. (No matter how cute they are.)
I could pretend it is, but it isn't.
It is about someone I love very much, who has not been doing so great lately.
It's about the treatment he has started today which is going to make him better.
This project is about documenting a year, and this is a positive day. It's the day we have all been waiting for.
And I could post no other image.
Because nothing is more important to me today.

So here's to you modern medicine,

....Maman.

This person, rocking a daisy-chain crown in the garden, is my gorgeous Mum.
My Mum is a legend. A legend who HATES having her photograph taken, but definitely a legend.
When I grow up, This is what I'd like to be.

So here's to you Maman. For being everything you are. X

(P.S While I was tippity tapping on my keyboard, this advert came on, and is everything I was trying to say. I LOVE it.)
