...Royal Wedding.

All the cool people are too cool to be interested in the royal wedding. I, however, am not cool. And I completely, wholeheartedly, embraced!
Show me kitsch memorabilia, Two people in love, A gorgeous wedding dress, People parading around wearing union jacks, and/or wedding dresses, A day off, and a Street party, and I'M IN!
(Even if the street party is not even ON my road...) Thanks Diranda X :)

One of my favourite bits, that little glance. LOVE this! (Audrey Kitching's Blog-Buzznet) Animated photography rocks, like hardened candy on a stick. :)

Spent an evening at the lovely Number 19 tonight with the lovely owner of this peeper!
Prawn linguine, girly chit chat, 80's customisation, reminiscing, and choc dips. Just what I needed. :)

...Happy Easter! :)
Here's a Boo-shaped mucky pup, with a satisfied grin on his little face, after eating his weight in chocolatey goodness.

And here's a little bit of what else we've been up to today..
Involving an Easter egg hunt, egg decorating, The eating of vast amounts of chocolate, A pub garden, some delicious food, tree climbing, sunshine, and the people I love most in all the world.

Here's hoping you had a great weekend too. X

....He Ain't Heavy.

Meet my Big brother. *waves *

One of the finest human beings that the world has in it.
He hasn't paid me to say that, I swear.
Infact, he'd probably pay me NOT to say that... But any which way you look at it, It's a fact.

We did a spot of graffiti together, (we were 9, and it was pen...don't judge us!!).
We were grounded together (See above.)
We went to clubs together (He was 18, and I was 17, tagging along, trying to be cool).
We drank M/D 20/20 together. (I fell over before we'd ever arrived anywhere)
He taught me how to ride a scooter (His!)
Without him, I definitely would've flunked my GCSE maths.
He taught me how not, to hit like a girl...
Oh! And he can do a bloody brilliant moonwalk when he is drunk. It's kind of become a measurer-of-drunkeness among those close to him. If he does it. He's drunk.

He just is, and always will be, a bloody pleasure to be around.
I'm just very very grateful, that of all of the brothers, in all of the land, I got him.
Love you, Man X

Dylan has only gone and learnt to ride his bike without stabilisers this week hasn't he?! Wooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!  :D
He is MASSIVELY proud of himself, and we're massively proud of him too, the little legend.
He's all scuffed knees, grazed hands, and very big smiles.
So day 56 is a salute to you, my gorgeous bike riding boy. You rock.

Waking up to your wife photographing you sleeping, could be considered...well, a bit freaky if we're honest!
Luckily, The Beautiful Hairy Man doesn't mind a bit.
He's good like that :)

I have a Tee-Pee in my kitchen.
And a little Chief.
This can only mean one thing....The Easter holidays are here!

P.s. I know that this photograph looks like we have just told the little fella that the easter bunny doesn't exist, but I swear!...We didn't. He's happy. Honest! :)

First day of the Easter Holidays today, which means I get to spend two weeks with this little dude. :)

When the phone rang lately, I said "Dylaaaaan, phone for youuuu" and he answered the phone like this:
"Hello? Is this someone from Star Wars"?
I LOVE that when you are six and three quarters, there is every possibility that someone from Star Wars will ring you. X

This person, rocking a daisy-chain crown in the garden, is my gorgeous Mum.
My Mum is a legend. A legend who HATES having her photograph taken, but definitely a legend.
When I grow up, This is what I'd like to be.

So here's to you Maman. For being everything you are. X

(P.S While I was tippity tapping on my keyboard, this advert came on, and is everything I was trying to say. I LOVE it.)

....Home.

This house holds in it, two gorgeous, funny, spirited, little bundles of energy, and one Beautiful, friendly, witty, and bloomin' hilaarious, Hairy Man.
My little Family. My world. My life.

If you were to come in, you would see old records on the wall... a battered guitar that none of us can actually play, and photographs in jam jars. You would see Kings of Leon tickets stuck to the fridge, next to alphabet magnets, and a whole wall full of childrens paintings. You would see broad beans growing in pots on the windowsill that the boys planted at school. You would see lots of things where they shouldn't be.
You would probably find lots of small people. You would definately see, what I lovingly refer to as... 'happy' mess.  The washing up probably wont have been done. I probably look a mess...There WILL be some dust bunnies if you look carefully. (I like to think you'd have to look carefully!..)

This is Home.
Full of love, and laughter and noise, and mess.
And theres nowhere I'd rather be.

....Late night shopping.

Here, Nestled in the middle of a concrete four storey car park in Watford, is one of my oldest and best-est friends Shell.
She's bloody brilliant.
She's been right there with me for pretty much every monumental event since I was 13 years old. We went to high school together, We had our first tentative attempt at smoking together (behind a cinema in Harrow) We had our first tattoos together, We've laughed, we've cried, we've shopped, and she was bridesmaid at my wedding last year.
Shell has got to be, the most positive person in the world, She cracks me up, and is just one of those people that everyone loves.
She also makes me watch films that scare the very bejesus right out of me, but manages to contain her embarrassment when I smuggle a blanket into the cinema in my bag to hide behind.

Late night shopping tonight with this lady tonight. We tested out funky chairs (her), bought too many random accessories (me), and had an evening of loveliness.

.....Mummys day.

Do you know what I discovered today? That even if we are all sick, and sleep deprived and our house should be marked with a red cross on the door, we are together , and this, to me, is what Mother's day is all about.
Being a Mummy.
A stay-up-with-you-all-night-mummy, who rubs your back, and dries your tears, and makes you all clean and shiny again. And a mummy who smells faintly of sick. :))

Happy Mothers Day! (and some Hipstamatic love) (Personal)

..
Two very poorly little boys this mothers day. So so sick, bless their hearts, from 10pm till 5am, so we are all poorly and sleep deprived in the Reid House today.

The Ice cream van always parks outside our house. Right outside our house. And there is no distracting Dylan and Boo from the tinny tones of Greensleeves, The popular english folk song....:))

....Where the Wild Things Are....

*Sighs and hugs book to chest* I love this book. It's one of those rare books that is just as special to adults (I know it's not just me..) as it is to children. It's hard to believe it's 48 years old. And the illustrations are A.mazing.

I remember it being a big part of my childhood. It was always read to me and my brother as kids by our mum, and now is part of both of my boy's childhood too, which I love.
Maurice Sendak, I salute you.
