My very own London Telephone Box. :)
I don't know what it is about me and the London phone box, but there has always been a big ol (telephone box shaped) place in my heart and my life for one.
Sadly, I don't have the many, many, maaany pennies that will make one magically materialise in my living room.
But wait! What's this?
Last week I stumbled across this (happiness-inducing) life size poster of the big red fella.
And today I have spent the day teetering on a stool, taking my little retro phone off the wall, wrestling with a giant poster, and....
...Ta Daaaaaaa! *Happy dance*
Okay, so technically it's made out of paper...
But it IS a shiny red telephone box in my living room.
It DOES makes me as happy as happy can be.
It was six pounds instead of two and a half big ones.
AND it doesn't smell of wee wee.
Everyones a winner.
(If anyone needs me, I'll be on the phone....)

Now, I know I said this about spring, but I bloody love autumn.*
*I also love Winter. And yes. There probably will be another list. :)
Things I love about Autumn. In no particular order.
It means Christmas is close, and Bonfire night is closer. (sparklers, fairy lights and fireworks? woohoo!)
I get to crunch leaves underfoot with my boys.
While walking in the woods.
And maybe even throw handfuls of them in the air if the fancy takes me (Leaves, not children...).
While wearing wellies! (Living the dream..)
I get to wear Snuggly Autumn/Winter clothes, chunky knit scarves, deerstalker hats and hats with ears.
Hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream.
I get to rekindle my relationship with my Ugg boots.
I do not have to assault my pale, half irish, freckly skin by attempting, and failing, to tan it anymore.
We are offically allowed to turn the heating on. :)

A poorly Boo wasn't able to go to the bar-be-que we had been invited to tonight due to sudden projectile vomiting and a nasty sickness bug.
Instead, We stayed home together, snuggled up in my bed with a sick bowl, and some books, and I stroked his hair till he went to sleep.
This image is of his little shadow as we made our way up the stairs to bed.

You ask if you can make your own packed lunch, and insist on tying your own tie.
You then move on to phase 4.

A Mothers Letter To The World. (Personal)
Dear World,
My son starts school today.
It's going to be strange and new to him for a while.
And I wish you would sort of treat him gently.
You see, up to now, he's been king of the roost.
He's been boss of the backyard.
I have always been around to repair his wounds, and
to soothe his feelings.
But now-things are going to be different.
This morning, he's going to walk down the front steps,wave his hand and start on his great adventure that will probably include wars and tragedy and sorrow.

Our last day today, but our flight doesn't leave until tonight so we stayed in the pool for most of the day.
If you listened really carefully, you could probably have heard Dylan shouting "CanonBAAAAAALLL!!!" and then, a few seconds later, an almighty SPLASH.
We enjoyed every last moment, and packed soggy towels in our luggage at the end of the day.
We had a ball. X
